It is a well-established fact the that the way to German market for Serbian products is through trade fairs. Fall is therefore the perfect time for both exhibitors and fair organizers to prepare for the upcoming season. The beginning of the new season means new hope for domestic economy regarding further trade expansion and business improvement.

Consumer goods manufacturers will have a chance to close new deals in Frankfurt at the Ambient international consumer goods trade fair. The fair is one of the most visited exhibitions in the world, and it features various industry branches in one place.

As eKapija portal finds out, people in charge of the event have prepared many new styles for the upcoming exhibition. eKapija had the opportunity to learn about some of the their plans and find out about the events that will take place at Ambient fair from February 8 through 12, 2019 in Frankfurt.

Thomas Kastl, one of the directors at Ambiente told eKapiija portal that changes were dictated by the market and by visitors.

– The set-up in the exhibition halls has to accommodate our visitors. The companies that participate in our fair have the opportunity to offer their products to new markets and make numerous business deals, says Kastl.

He explained that only three areas - Living, Giving and Dining remained unchanged. He said that Frankfurt will be a host to exhibitors from around 90 countries from around the world in February 2019 who set trends for the next period. According to Kastl, Ambiente 2018 brought 4,376 exhibitors from 88 countries, who “occupied: more than 308,000 m2 of exhibit space.

– Both exhibitors and visitors benefit greatly from the new optimized presentation of the product groups, styles and industry sectors. From the hall coverage to exhibitor location, everything is different and exciting, Kastl ssays and adds that Ambiente is “the fair that brings the future.”

All three segments have been optimized, our collocutor points out.

– Many exhibitors will take new places in the halls. These are the first big changes after nine years, concludes Kastl.

Our collocutor thinks that internet sale cannot destroy retail. Hence the visitors will have a chance to attend Point of Experience – a special presentation that links offline and online retailing. The presentation will take place in the Hall 4.1 Foyer at the upcoming fair.

– The concept of future shopping shows how even in the digital age the products can be presented in such a way that customers can still enjoy high-street retail, says Kastl who is of the opinion that buyers expect more from retail shops than "just products and display”

The new Ambiente partner country will be India and one famous Bollywood actor will visit the fair, Kastl revealed. The actor's name will not be revealed until February in Frankfurt. The presentation of the partner country cover a wide range of products by traditional crafts and artisans.

A cafe focused around India will be set-up at the Hall 4.1 at the fair. The Cafe where visitors can find moments of peace and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of the trade fair will be designed by Sandeep Sangaru, multidisciplinary designer, educator, entrepreneur and a nomad by nature.

Chosen team from Serbia

Together with manufactures from 90 countries around the world, work companies from Serbia have confirmed their participation at the fair – Europak, iLUTE, Metalac Cookware and Mega Plast Jovanovic. They might be joined by a few others who are still waiting for approval.

Sources from Zodax d.o.o., official representatives of Messe Frankfurt for Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia, said that all exhibitors were very pleased and that their participation had already become traditional which showed that their presence on Ambiente trade fair was highly significant for the business of domestic companies.

– The interest is great in general and there is a high number of visitors from all three countries we represent, Zodax added.

Changes – new hall, new possibilities and new set-up

At Ambiente 2019 the exhibitors will present for the first time in Hall 12 which has just been built but they won't have access to Hall 6 which is being reconstructed. A part of Dining section that includes houseware will be set at Hall 12. Dining products groups exhibitions will also take place in Halls 1, 3, 4, 5, and 10. Dining section Bottles and Insulated Tumblers has been moved to Hall 1 where stands showcasing kitchenware trends are located.

The customers will find some of the Living and Giving products from interior design in Hall 8 including furniture, interior concepts, lights, lifestyle and design accessories as well as designer jewellery .

Interiors & Decoration will also be located in Hall 9 presenting Interior concepts, furniture, lights, home textiles and .home accessories and also in Hall 9.1 exhibiting Home accessories and handcrafted home accessories, pictures and frames, home fragrance, candles, decoration trends, seasonal decoration, floristry and planters.

Giving section in Hall 11 will be a perfect place to find gifts, decorative accessories, office supplies and jewelery. Here visitors will be able to buy classic gifts, souvenirs, bags and other accessories.

This most important global consumer goods trade fair is also a presentational platform for a wide spectrum of international companies and furnishings and accessories for hotels and restaurants.

Ambiente also acts as a trade platform for many companies specializing in products for the hospitality industry. A special hospitality industry and a business guide for making appointments that help visitors find the relevant exhibitors.

Let us remind that Messe Frankfurt is the world’s biggest trade fair that employs a workforce of 2,400 at 30 sites and generates an annual revenue of around EUR 669 million.
