Tendering for sale of Port of Novi Sad extended until November 6
The new bid submission deadline is November 6, and the opening of the bids will take place on November 8.
Eligible companies are those that have performed port activities in the past ten years continuously and that had an income of at least EUR 30 million in 2017, with the reloading of 1.4 million tons in each of the past three years.
The Port of Novi Sad is the only port in Serbia where the state is the majority owner. It reloads around a million tons of goods a year, and its capacities exceed 2.5 million tons. Around 150 people work at the company.
The Government of Serbia believes that some of the most renowned port companies will take part in the tendering, such as the UAE's Dubai Port World, Germany's Renus and the American Valona Group.
Twelve companies and investors applied during the previous call for letters of interest for the privatization of the Port of Novi Sad.
