Germany's Geze expanding production facilities in Zrenjanin – Planned investments of EUR 4.9 million

The German company Geze, which has been operating in the Industrial Zone Elemir in Zrenjanin since 2008 announced today that it was expanding the facilities where it produces door and window systems, and the investment is worth EUR 4.9 million.

In this location, Geze takes up 60,000 square meters, 8,100 m2 of which are indoor areas.

An additional 6,300 m2 are being built at the moment, a part of which is meant for the production processes which are to be moved from the current facility, as well as for new production equipment, whereas 2,500 m2 are planned for the installation of the equipment which will be used to test the duration of the company's products.

The director of Geze in Zrenjanin, Vanja Milic, said that the number of employees had increased by 60 to 200 and that the new investment proved that the company aims for a continuous growth in line with environmental and economic standards and that it was very satisfied with its operations in Zrenjanin.

The construction site was also visited yesterday by Mayor of Zrenjanin Cedomir Janjic, who said that it was good that no foreign investor operating in Zrenjanin had left the town and that they were instead expanding their production capacities. The Industrial Zone Northwest – Elemir was formed in 2008, when the Italian company Fulgar raised production capacities there, which it later expanded on two occasions.
