MIHAJLOVIC: I will constantly control the works on the bypass route around Belgrade

Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic has talked to the contractors, designers and investors on the construction of the final section of the bypass route around Belgrade and announced that she would be visiting them constantly during the construction, in order to prevent any problems on the project.

As said in an announcement by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Mihajlovic told representatives of the Chinese company Sinohydro, the Azerbeijani company Azvirt, the Roads of Serbia, the Corridors of Serbia and the Highway Institute that there were no longer obstacles to the contractors being present on the site, as an agreement on the financing of the section of the bypass route around Belgrade had been signed in Beijing.

– The completion of the bypass route around Belgrade is one of the Government of Serbia’s greatest priorities and one of the most important infrastructural projects in our country. That is why I will constantly control and visit you – Mihajlovic said.

She said that she expected Sinohydro and Azvirt, the contractors, to fully engage themselves so as to avoid further problems on the construction site and introduced the contractors and the investors to the concrete tasks the ministry’s had set for them to fulfill.

– I require the Roads of Serbia to always cooperate as well as possible with the contractors. I don’t want to see any problems on this project – Mihajlovic said.

The announcement says that the representatives of the Chinese and the Azerbaijani companies stated that they would fully increase their engagement in the project and that it would be executed within the agreed deadlines and in the agreed quality.
