Ljajic discusses cheaper roaming with European Commissioner
It was said at the meeting that the first condition for abolishing roaming in the region was to have all states of the Western Balkans sign an agreement.
The second step would be to lower the price of data transfer in the next three years, whereas there would also be negotiations with operators about lowering the price of phone calls and text messages.
Furthermore, Ljajic has expressed Serbia's interest in the construction of a cross-border TC infrastructure with the neighboring countries and for the projects of the construction of “digital innovation hubs”.
Gabriel said at the meeting that the European Union had set aside EUR 30 million for those projects and that it was ready to help Serbia realize them.
