Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic and Ambassador of India to Serbia, Mr. Subrata Bhattacharjee have signed an Agreement on Air Services between the government of Serbia and government of India on September 15, 2018, during the state visit of the Vice-President of India Venkaiah Naidu to Serbia.

– Serbia an India have traditionally good political relationship, that has rich history, but it's equally important for us to enhance economic cooperation which has a great potential. The new, modern air service agreement is an important step in that direction because better connections are key to improving business relations and to talk about new projects and potential investments, Mihajlovic said.

According to the official statement from the Ministry, signing the agreement on air services had opened possibilities for establishing direct, regular flights between two counties and code sharing commercial agreements between air carriers.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and the Vice-President of India, Venkaiah Naidu, the statement added.
