Average salary in June RSD 49,226 or EUR 417

The average net salary in Serbia in June 2018 amounted to RSD 49,226, equaling EUR 417, as announced by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Compared with the same month last year, average net salaries and wages increased by 5.8% in nominal terms and by 3.4% in real terms.

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for June 2018 amounted to RSD 68,047, an increase by 5.3% in nominal terms and by 2.9% in real terms.

The cumulative growth of gross salaries and wages in the period January-June 2018 compared to the same period last year was 5.5% in nominal terms and 3.7% in real terms. At the same time, net salaries and wages increased by 6.0% in nominal terms and by 4.2% in real terms.

Median net salaries and wages for June amounted to RSD 38,500, meaning that 50% of employees, according to the records of the Tax Administration, realized wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount, the press release says.
