Tender for construction of Novi Sad - Horgoš highway this week
The Minister of Infrastructure of Serbia, Milutin Mrkonjić, said that the tender for construction of highway section between Horgoš and Novi Sad would be announced that week and that Serbia would try to start construction of the highway to Bar in 2009.
Mrkonjić
told Beta agency that he did not know the exact date when the tender for Horgoš-Novi Sad highway section would be announced, but he said that that would definitely happen in that week.
As Mrkonjić announced earlier, 20 km of Novi Sad-Horgoš highway section will be built this year - 10 km from Novi Sad to Horgoš and 10 km from Horgoš to Novi Sad.
Mrkonjić announced after the signing of the agreement on border control of railway traffic between Serbia and Montenegro that Serbia planned to start construction of the highway to Bar in 2009.
As he explained, Serbia will "try" to start construction of the road section between Belgrade and Ljig this year.
- Design of technical dossier and preparation works for expropriation are underway - said he.
