Banja Vrujci to get aquapark in August – Plan to open new four-star hotel by end-2020
The Aleksandrovac-based company Samo Rad is realizing these ambitious plans. Last year, the company bought the so-called Cutovic spa center in Banja Vrujci, a part of Prva Nova Banja, for RSD 180 million. The complex has stood neglected for several years, since the company MB Konsalting Beograd went into bankruptcy.
New owners invested around EUR 2.1 million in this complex in under a year. A part of that investment, around EUR 1 million, was put into the construction of the aquapark. The Turkish company Polin was the contractor, and the opening is scheduled for August.
As the company explained, investments have also been made in the renovation of pools and the construction of side facilities so far.
The Aleksandrovac-based company hopes that the complex will get accommodation capacities by the end of 2020.
– The main asset of Banja Vrujci is its thermal mineral water. That is why we will continue enhancing our tourist offer by expanding the complex. I also hope that we will adapt the Cutovic hotel to its purpose in two years. Around 70% of the facility has been completed, and the projections are that another EUR 4 million needs to be invested, which we will do. The plan is for the hotel to have four stars – the new owners say for our portal.
The company Samo Rad was founded by the Cvetkovic family, using capital acquired in Switzerland. The company imports and sells used technical goods from the western European market.
