Reconstruction of Kneza Milosa Street to start in autumn 2019
As announced earlier, the reconstruction of Kneza Milosa Street will be carried out in two phases. In the first one, new underground installations will be set up, stretching along the sidewalks. Parking spots will be moved from the sidewalks to the garage to be built below the current lanes. The garage will have 450 parking spaces.
Beoinfo adds that those will not be the only works in the capital of Serbia.
– In two days, the works in Kneginje Zorke Street, from Kralja Aleksandra Blvd to Makenzijeva Street, are supposed to begin, the reconstruction of Svetogorska Street is in progress, Oslobodjenja Blvd will be completed by September 1, and the works in Radnicka Street will be completed by the end of August. The costs of the works on the Slavija plaza are carried by the contractor and the deadline is August 8, following which we can activate the security instruments and give the job to some other companies – Vesic said.
Kneza Milosa Street stretches from the Mostar interchange to the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. It is 1,600 meters long and 28 meters wide. It has carried its current name since 1858, and it was previously called Topciderski Drum (Topcider Road).
