Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic talked yesterday with Canadian Ambassador in Serbia Kati Csaba, who pointed out that the country was interested in cooperation with Serbia in the field of infrastructure.

As announced, Mihajlovic said that Serbia was completing Corridor 10 and that it was starting to realize new infrastructural project, highlighting the construction of the Nis-Merdare-Pristina and Sarajevo-Belgrade highways, as well as the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Budpaest high-speed railway and the rehabilitation of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway, as top priorities.

– The results you've achieved on the World Bank's Doing Business list are a good sign for investors. We are interested in cooperating, considering the projects you will realize in the upcoming period – Csaba said.

Improving air transport was also discussed at the meeting. The two countries signed the Air Transport Agreement this May and the launch of a direct air service between Serbia and Canada is planned.
