Sarajevo-based company BS Telecom Solutions has signed a new agreement in Serbia on the implementation of the ITS project of the Brancici tunnel on Corridor 11, worth BAM 4 million (around EUR 2 million), the BiznisInfo portal reports.

What's especially important is that this entails the export of traffic control and management software BS Husky, the result of a long development of the company's own engineering team and local knowledge, BS Telecom Solutions announced.

The project follows the successful completion of a similar project in Serbia, worth BAM 3.6 million.

This way, BS Telecom Solutions, as a company, and BS Husky, as a brand, are becoming recognizable in the regional market as leaders in the field of ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) software. This is also confirmed, they add, by the fact that an agreement worth BAM 4.7 million has been signed on a similar project in Montenegro and that, at the moment, BS Telecom Solutions has exporting projects in place worth BAM 8.7 million.

– We are in the final stages of the signing of several new contracts, both in the markets of Serbia and Montenegro and in Macedonia and Croatia, where we expect a range of new jobs by the end of the year – said Mirza Varatanovic, the director of BS Telecom Solutions.

He adds that he is especially glad that there's been increased interest in cooperation on projects in the EU recently.

– After the completion of the pilot project of a smart city in Slovakia, the company is looking at the signing of the contract for the upgrade and the maintenance of a control center for traffic management in the Netherlands. BS Telecom Solutions was picked for these projects among world-renowned companies from Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia and other countries – Varatanovic pointed out, BiznisInfo reports.
