Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, together with Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff Ljubisa Dikovic visited the Zemun-based factory Teleoptik Ziroskopi, which develops and produces the most sophisticated weapon systems and optical and optoelectronic devices, on July 8.

Thanks to the government's financial support, the Zemun factory has procured machines and had its production hall renovated, so that the production of the most modern defense machinery might start this year.

Since the obtaining of new equipment started, through the government's investment program, 40 new workers have been employed, and the employment of another 40 workers, primarily engineers and technicians in development and production, is planned by the end of the year.

The total number of the employees will reach 250, including hired workers.

The introduction of over 95 different new types of arms is planned for the upcoming years.

When it comes to the new equipment at Teleoptik, CNC machines of higher efficiency have been procured, which will be put in service of the Serbian Armed Forces, but also local and foreign partners.

Teleoptik Ziroskopi used to be the best company in the field of licensed production of guided missiles, and now they also produce various optoelectronic devices for the foreign market.

Vucic visited the SMD Department, where an automatized line for the production of electronic boards for electronic units of the systems produced at the factory had been installed, and the Nanotechnology Protection Department, which features a unique machine, the largest one in the Balkans, which applies nanoparticles to objects of various materials.

He also visited the pre-fitting department, the White Room, where optical and optoelectronic devices are assembled, as well as the new mechanical workshop.
