In addition to the Scientific Institute for Reproduction and Artificial Insemination of Animals, Srem will get a modern Center for Corn Processing, thanks to an investments by the agricultural company Napredak, which, among other activities, produces crop cultures on around 4,500 hectares.

Near Golubinci, in the West Work Zone in Stara Pazova, corn will be husked and sorted, cobs will be dried and kernels removed, and seeds will be filtered and packed at the Center for Corn Processing, a unique facility in this part of Srem.

According to the urban plan, 5,000 to 7,000 tons of corn are meant to be dried, husked, packed and cleaned with only 15% humidity during the season, that is, from late August till mid-September.

Furthermore, traffic routes and parking lots, as well as green areas, will be built, which will make the West Work Zone, one of the four such zones in the municipality, more accessible and suitable for operations of future investors, whereas the investment of Napredak will enable the employment of new workers.
