POPOVIC: 5G technology in Serbia by end-2018
It was said at the meeting that the 5G technology would be a turning point that will change the world, the industry and people’s lives, says a press release by Popovic’s cabinet.
– The fourth generation of mobile networks brought significant changes to telecommunications, and the 5G technology will transform the entire global society. The fifth generation will have a much larger capacity and allow for the transfer of a much larger amount of data in much less time than the existing networks – Popovic said.
He said that, with the 5G wireless technology, smart cities, driverless cars, the use of robots and many other innovations became a part of everyday life in the world.
Let us remind that the Government of Serbia adopted the Strategy of Development of New-Generation Networks in April. This strategy promotes the use of cloud computing and the Internet of Things, as well as the development of fifth-generation (5G) mobile systems.
