Serbia ready for potential connection to TurkStream
Responding to the question of how far the negotiations with Gazprom about the possibility of having a branch of the TurkStream pipeline go through Serbia have progressed, Brnabic said that Serbia was preparing for a potential connection and that its government “is not waiting passively”.
The prime minister said that she had talked with Minister of Energy Aleksandar Antic and the director of Srbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic.
– Our communication with Gazprom is good and we expect investments decisions to be made. Serbia has the project of the construction of a gas interconnection with Bulgaria and we have started the activities of expropriation and engineering design, and I also expect a precise plan for the expansion of Banatski Dvor to be prepared by the end of June – she said.
