Mercator continues monetizing immovable property – Value of real estate in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and B&H EUR 1.4 billion
The strategic goal of the company, as they say, is to go for a further reduction of debts, so that funds for new investments in corporate development would be secured by 2021.
– In Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, Mercator Group owns real estate worth EUR 1.4 billion – Mercator S says for our portal.
– There are purchasers interested in the land we've advertised in New Belgrade, but all interested purchasers sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in the sales process, which obliges both the potential purchasers and our company to keep the confidential data – they point out.
The advertised parcel, let us remind, is located in close proximity to the Roda shopping center, the Airport City complex and the Extra Center, on the corner of Omladinskih Brigada and Djordja Stanojevica street.
Towards the end of 2017, the sale of the Mercator shopping center building in New Belgrade for EUR 46 million to a consortium, one of whose members is MPC Group of Petar Matic, was announced. The sale was seen as the first step towards the stabilization of the operations of the Novi Sad-based company, as it had been announced that all the money from the sale would go to banks and suppliers.
Mercator Group recorded a jump in profit in the first quarter of 2018. EBITDA amounted to EUR 25.8 million, a growth by 36.5% compared to last year, and the operating results in the first four months of 2018 are higher by EUR 9.3 million compared to the same period in 2017, the company says for our portal.
