Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic met with representatives of a parliamentary delegation of Guinea-Bissau to discuss agricultural cooperation, especially in the production of grains and tractors, on May 30.

The ministry says in a press release that it was agreed for the grain production technology to be transferred to Guinea-Bissau as much as possible, with involvement of institutes from Serbia, so that the country would reduce the import of grains.

Minister Nedimovic emphasized that Serbia was ready to once again penetrate the market of northern and western Africa and that it was more competitive at the moment in both price and quality than other European countries.

The delegation of Guinea-Bissau also expressed interest in the purchase of Serbian tractors and mechanization.

As said in the press release, this once again confirms that the initiation of the production at IMT by TAFE has already justified the expectations and that it will make a considerable number of foreign markets available again.

The Serbian side expressed readiness to have Guinea-Bissau's proposition on education of students and agronomists from this African country at universities in Serbia be realized.
