Serbia and Azerbaijan signed a joint action plan on strategic partnership between the two countries on Monday, May 21, 2018, and the first step in the realization of this document is an agreement to have the Azerbaijani company Azvirt engaged in the completion of the works on the bypass route around Belgrade, which will be financed without additional loans, Novosti reports. Also, investors from this country are interested in building luxury hotels in the capital of Serbia.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that an Azerbaijani delegation would visit Serbia in the next ten days in order to look into the options for investments.

The Azerbaijani delegation, according to him, will come to Serbia in order to see whether to invest in the construction of luxury hotels or the purchase of spas.

– From Moscow, through Montenegro, to Turkey, they've invested hundreds of millions and billions of euros... President Aliyev said that he would send a delegation to Serbia in order to see whether to build luxury hotels or purchase our spas. There are plenty of options for their investments – Vucic said.

He told RTS that the beginning of the construction of what he called the most important part of the bypass route around Belgrade, from Ostruznica to Bubanj Potok, in the length of 19 kilometers, had also been discussed in Baku. As he pointed out, this is a difficult road section, but it is important not just for Belgrade, but for the whole Serbia.

Vucic announced that visas for citizens of Azerbaijan would soon be abolished in an effort to create conditions for enhancing the total cooperation between the two countries, RTS reports.
