Zincomet to start producing in Paracin by 2019 – Bulgarian company to open first zinc dust processing facility in Serbia

The Bulgarian company Zincomet, which is to start building a facility in the Industrial Zone Zmic in Paracin, should start producing in late 2018 or early 2019.

The president of the municipality of Paracin, Sasa Paunovic, said that the investment was worth around EUR 500,000.

– The owner intends to build 1,200 square meters of production and office space, where nine people are to be employed initially, while more workers are to be employed later on – Paunovic announced.

The facility should be built by the end of this year and the production should start either then or in early 2019.

Zincomet, owned by Velimir Yotov, plans to produce technical zinc oxide. This will be the first facility in Serbia for the processing of zinc dust, which is used in the food industry, in the production of mineral fertilizers, tires, but also cosmetics.

In the Industrial Zone Zmic, 14 companies are already operating, building facilities or preparing for construction. Among them are four companies from the neighboring Cuprija and two foreign companies, one of which has leased a facility, while the other is to build a plant.
