Italy's Plastikcam East opens plastic component plant in Subotica – Investment worth over EUR 3 million

The provincial secretary for regional development, interregional cooperation and local self-government, Ognjen Bjelic, today opened the new production facility of the Italian factory Plastikcam East for the thermoplastic processing in the industrial zone Mali Bajmok in Subotica.

As the website of the Provincial Government reports, this is an investment by the Italian company Caminda, and over EUR 3 million was invested in the construction and the equipping of this plastic component plant, whereas 30 workers will be employed by the end of 2018 in the first of the five phases planned.


The number of employees will range from 50 to 100 over the remaining four phases.

Talking about the direct impact of Italian investments, Bjelic reminded that as many as 66 Italian companies had invested their capital in the territory of Vojvodina, amounting to a total of nearly a billion euros, whereas the number of employees exceeds 11,000.
