The public call for the procurement of 10 electric car chargers, recently announced on eKapija, is expected to take place in two weeks, the PE Roads of Serbia told Danas.

As the newspaper writes, the tender documentation is currently being prepared, which entails a previous analysis and a potential inclusion of more modern versions of electrical chargers, which can carry out the process in around 15 minutes, as well as an analysis of the locations in which the chargers will be installed.

Let us remind that, as part of the modernization of roads in Serbia, the said PE, in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and as part of the pilot project, has installed five electric car chargers, at toll booths Presevo, Sid, Dimitrovgrad, Subotica Jug and Belgrade near Bubanj Potok, since the beginning of 2017.

According to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 143 electric vehicles and 223 hybrids are registered in Serbia at the moment.

At the same time, some of the biggest European car manufacturers are considering the establishment of a network of stations for a quick charging of batteries on roads. The network should spread from Norway to the Italian south and from Portugal to Poland. The plan does not include Serbia.
