Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic talked with Ambassador of Egypt Amr Aljowaily about the cooperation of the two countries in the fields of transport, construction and infrastructure.

As reported on the website of the Government of Serbia, Mihajlovic pointed out that there was room for upgrading the cooperation not just in the field of transport, but in construction and infrastructure as well, considering the large number of projects realized or planned by Serbia.

Aljowaily said that there was a long tradition of relations between Serbia and Egypt and that they were a good foundation for a further enhancement of bilateral cooperation.

He emphasized that, in addition to there being a considerable increase in the number of Serbian tourists visiting Egypt, there was also a need for launching a direct air service between Belgrade and Cairo, as two important points for connecting the Balkans and the African continent.

The possibilities of sharing experiences in the field of water transport were also discussed at the meeting, especially when it comes to tourism and the participation of Egyptian construction companies in trade shows in Serbia.
