Another Turkish company to transport goods to Europe via Serbia - Mars Logistics freight trains will run twice a month

Turkish logistics company Mars Logistics has decided to use the transit roads through Serbia and the services of national cargo railway company Serbia Cargo for transporting goods both to and from the countries of Western Europe.

The first Mars Logistics freight train which left the Halkali terminal in Istanbul on May 5 arrived on May 7 at half past midnight at Dimitrovgrad border crossing and after conducting all the necessary procedures continued in the morning its travel through Serbia toward Subotica and onward to its last stop in Duisburg, Germany, Serbia Cargo reported.

The aim for the first period is for the Turkish trains to operate twice a month in both directions.

As a reminder, at the end of last year the Istanbul-based company Turkrail has decided to dispatch its first container train through Serbia instead of Romania.


Serbia Cargo announced that they would continue intensive negotiations with clients for realizing new transports and the y hope for the increase in goods transport from east to west and new train on the railway Corridor 10.
