European gas delivery increased by 6.3% to 70.3 billion m3, the company stated.
Gas exports to Germany had significant increase - by 12.4%, the deliveries to Austria and The Netherlands were almost doubled, the exports to Greece grew by 45.2%, to France by 8.2% and to Denmark by 5.1, reports Russian News Agency TASS citing the Gazprom report.
In April only, Gazprom exported 15.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is a historical record amount for the month of April for the company.
Last year, Gazprom increased its gas exports to Europe by 8.2% to 194.4 billion cubic meters of gas.
There will be a high demand for Russian gas in Europe this summer due to the low reserves in underground gas storage facilities in European countries, says the company's CEO Alexey Miller.
