The construction of the highway between Pristina and Bela Zemlja near Bujanovac began on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

On this occasion, it was announced that all seven urban centers in Kosovo will be connected by highways by 2023.

Mayor of Gnjilane Lutfi Haziri said that this traffic route provided a connection to Corridor 10.

The first section of the highway from Pristina to Bela Zemlja, 22.6 km long, will cost around EUR 87 million, and the plan is for it to be completed in 30 months. In 2019, as announced, the construction of the Istok-Pec-Decane-Djakovica highway will begin as well.
