Construction of Mind Park industrial complex starts in Kragujevac – Commercial features and air runway to be built
The investor is the Kragujevac-based company Mind Real Estate, a member of the Milanovic Industries group, owned by Bratislav Milanovic.
The plan is for this “mini-city” to take up 120 hectares, and the completion of the first facility, which is built by Tehnogradnja Krusevac, is planned for November 2018, Tanjug reports.
It has been announced that the construction of the head office building of Mind Park begins in June, and that the construction of a kindergarten and a polyclinic-diagnostic center should begin in the next phase.
The industrial complex will also feature a center for research, development and education, laboratories, a space for support to beginners in business (startups), an engineering building, a sports center and even an air runway.
Bratislav Milanovic, former owner of Milanovic Inzenjering, recently bought a 70-ha parcel in the Sobovica zone.
He says that this industrial and intellectual complex will employ highly qualified engineers from Sumadija and the entire Serbia.
Milanovic invited companies from the IT sector to work within Mind Park. As he says, the construction of this park is a way for young engineers to stay in Serbia, and special attention will be paid to environmental protection.
Germany's Siemens, which officially acquired Milanovic Engineering in early February, will operate within this industrial complex.
The manager of Siemens' rail vehicle component plants, Ulrich Semsek, says that the production in Kragujevac will continue, but that the production of components for tram cars will also start, as will the cooperation with suppliers of train components.
