Serbian Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin has confirmed that Serbia was negotiating about the procurement of another four MiG-29 planes, this time from Belarus.

– We will notify the public about the continuation of the talks we’ve had with Belarusian representatives about an additional four planes. In line with our technical agreements, we will discuss the details later on. This is good news for our aviation and our armed forces on the whole – Vulin told TV Pink.

Vulin pointed out that, with the strengthening of the army, the total capacity of the country strengthened as well, not just in terms of defense, but also politically and economically. He added that each investment in the military was also an investment in the local community and employment, as well as in the adoption of new technologies.

He said that, once the modernization of MiG-29 planes is completed, the modernization of the land army would continue through the modernization of army vehicles and tanks.
