Law on the National Framework of Qualifications adopted – Each profession to get is own code
This will provide information as to which diplomas mean which qualifications and what managers, engineers and people of other profiles learned at the faculty exactly.
Each profession will get its own code, which will be harmonized with the European register of qualifications. A special council will be formed, as will be an agency for qualifications and sector councils. They will be preparing qualification standards in order for the register of the national framework of qualifications to be formed.
This law is a basis for the implementation of the concept of learning throughout one’s life and should influence an enhancement of the educational system of the Republic of Serbia and individual development.
The law also establishes a unified and integrated national framework of qualifications encompassing all levels and types of qualifications, regardless of how they were acquired and the age at which they were acquired.
The council gives recommendations about the process of planning and development of the human potential in line with relevant public policies in the field of lifelong education, employment, career management and counseling.
The agencies for qualifications will secure the quality through the preparation of propositions of qualification standards and the running of the register, whereas the key role of the sector councils will be to define the proposition of qualification standards through a partnership with the Agency.
