Ski Resorts of Serbia continue to invest in infrastructure – New tracks, lifts and accommodation capacities soon
Good business results provide “fuel” for the Ski Resorts of Serbia for the new investments that the company announces for the upcoming period – new ski tracks and artificial tracks, ski lifts, footbridges, a hotel...
All ski centers will get a new system for access control and ticket sale, and the pertinent public procurement procedure is in progress.
New hotel in Kopaonik?
A public invitation for an architectural solution for a new hotel facility in the location of the management building of the PE Ski Resorts of Serbia on Kopaonik has also opened. In the documentation, the company explains that, based on market analyses and publicly available information about the number of visitors at the Kopaonik tourist center, it has been concluded that all accommodation capacities are full during the winter season.
– Considering the high growth of the number of tourists in the latest seasons, as well as the range of activities being carried out to the end of attracting a greater number of tourists, the conclusion is that it is necessary to build new accommodation capacities, in order to meet the recorded and the expected rise in the demand. In line with this, it can be concluded that the construction of a new hotel facility in the location of the current management building would contribute to a further increase in the number of tourists and skiing aficionados in Kopaonik.
The management building of the Ski Resorts of Serbia is positioned in the very center of Kopaonik, around fifty meters away from the busiest lifts and tracks. The location is very attractive, as it is located right next to the main street of the tourist center, providing it with optimal accessibility and visibility.
Tracks, ski lifts, footbridge...
In addition to hotels, the plan is for Kopaonik to also get a new ski track at Krcmar, a double ski lift at Marine Vode, artificial ski tracks in the Krst location (at the 3a track), the Jaram footbridge...
– We are currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits for the new track in the Krcmar location. We expect this to be completed in mid-summer, so that we could build the track by the beginning of the next winter season – the Ski Resorts explains.
They add that the public call for the construction of a ski lift at Marine Vode and the process for obtaining the building permit are in progress.
– The new installation is expected to be ready for the new ski season. The capacity will increase by 1,000 skiers per hour.
In addition to ski lifts and tracks, Kopaonik will also get the Jaram footbridge. As the Ski Resorts of Serbia explains, the footbridge will increase the safety and prevent problems and risks arising as a consequence of skiers' passing across the regional road.
– This will solve the problem of the crowding in the central zone of the ski center and provide a comfortable way for the Gobelja zone to be linked to the rest of the ski resort.
In addition to Kopaonik, Zlatibor will also get a new ski track, in the Sankova Ravan zone. The construction is planned for 2019, and the project-technical documentation will be prepared and the necessary permits obtained in 2018, the Ski Resorts told eKapija.
