The first airplane of Iran Air, which will operate the direct air route between Tehran and Belgrade, landed at the Nikola Tesla Airport on Saturday, March 10, 2018.

This is the first flight on this route after 27 years. It will fly two times a week, and the tickets have been sold out.

Charter flights of a private Iranian airline Qeshm Air, whose first four flights have also been sold out, should be launched this month as well.

The airline Mahan Air also plans to launch flights on this route. Several ad hoc charter flights are planned for March, and a regular series of charter flights should be established on April 6 and last through October 26.
