Tender for sale of IMT will be declared unsuccessful because the third-ranked consortium "Agri investments", made of companies "MPC Properties" from Belgrade and "Adriano Corsi" from Italy, has given up the procurement.

- The tender has not been officially closed yet, but the fact is that the third-ranked bidder gave up the procurement - said Slobodan Petrović, the Director General of IMT. - We have already spoken to the authorized people in the Ministry of Economy and I assume that we will resume the talks after the Privatization Agency publishes official statement concerning the destiny of this tender.

As Petrović points out, IMT can develop in two directions.

- The first is to find a strategic partner through direct negotiations, the same as in the case of "Zastava", while the second is to find a strategic partner by means of tender, similar as the one that was announced for Mining Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor" - says Petrović. - Classical tender has been announced twice and gave no results, and we should not forget that the first-ranked bidder on the tender, consortium HASS-SIP, submitted the offer for strategic partnership to the Privatization Agency.
