Belgrade to attract Eastern tourists illuminated in Chinese flag colors

Belgrade is one of the 30 European cities to join the initiative of the European Travel Commission in marking the the Bridge of Light event, the Tourism Organization of Serbia announced.

This way, the Tourism Organization of Serbia and the City of Belgrade joined the ambitious project involving numerous activities aiming to promote European destinations in China in 2018.

The first of these activities is carried out with the idea of building a symbolic Bridge of Light between Europe and China by illuminating European landmarks and attractions using the colors of the Chinese flag, the press release says.

The dome of the National Assembly of Serbia, the Ada Bridge and the Palace Albanija, along with sites in 12 European countries, will thereby turn a shade of red.

The aim of the project that the European Travel Commission is to carry out in 2018 is to promote European travel destinations in China, to bring the cultures closer together and to strengthen bilateral bonds between Beijing and cities in Europe.
