State continues to support companies opening development centers in Serbia
As the website of the Government of Serbia reports, Popovic, who visited the development center of the Swedish company Verisec together with Ambassador of Sweden to Serbia Jan Lundin, pointed out that the company was a good example, as it delivers the product Freja eID+, made by young Serbian IT experts, from Belgrade to the world market.
The company, as he explained, develops modern, innovative digital solutions for data safety in banks and all other state institutions worldwide.
According to him, Freja eID+ is a security digital app, the first and so far the only official national mobile app of Sweden which citizens can use to identify themselves in using public and private services.
The Minister pointed out that Verisec had ten daughter-companies in the world and that all the development activities took place in the capital of Serbia, where 41 young graduates from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, design engineers and other Serbian experts worked.
This company is also a good example of promoting female entrepreneurship, as the majority of the young inventors here are women.
Lundin pointed out that there was a strong desire on the part of Serbia to cooperate with Sweden in the field of innovation and said that Verisec was a good example of that cooperation in the IT sector.
He announced that Popovic should soon visit Sweden, where he would have talks about a further enhancement of the cooperation between the two countries in the field of technological development, it is said.
