Serbian Railways Infrastructure and the French company Geismar signed an agreement on the procurement of five motorized draisines using the proceeds from the loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on February 12.

The company needs motorized draisines for rail maintenance, as the last one was bought around fifteen years ago.

– The value of the agreement is slightly under EUR 4.5 million – said the General Manager of Serbian Railways Infrastructure, Miroljub Jevtic, who signed the agreement with Srdjan Babic, the representative of the French company.

The first draisine will arrive to Serbia in March 2019, and the rest will arrive by the end of 2019.

– Our successful cooperation with Serbian Railways has been going on for over forty years – Babic said.
