The Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina hosted a meeting between Czech and Serbian businessmen from the metal sector on Friday, February 9, 2018. As announced on the chamber’s website, the meeting was organized by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the Vojvodina Metal Cluster (VMC), and the event was supported by the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism and the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.

– The improvement of regional cooperation is one of the primary tasks of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina. Our goal is to help market-oriented companies, small and medium enterprises, to expand their business, increase their exporting capacities, create new jobs and employ people. Our two regions should continue cooperating and organizing events such as this one, in order to enhance the economies of the two countries – said the chamber’s president, Bosko Vucurevic.

The Secretary of the Association for Industry at the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, Zoran Trpovski, said that the merchandise trade with the Czech Republic was constantly growing.

– It is certain that there is room for further development and enhancement of mutual cooperation, so we expect these meetings to lead to the realization of new business arrangements – Trpovski said.

According to Vladimir Nikic, the initiative for the organization of this event was made by a Czech company which, thanks to positive experiences in cooperating with Serbia businessmen, recommended an intensification of cooperation with Serbian companies to its business partners in the Czech Republic.

– We hope that one of the results of this visit will be the intensification of the cooperation between the two chambers, which will in turn create new possibilities for future connecting between the two economies. The gathering that has just ended is only the first step, as success is not measured by the number of participants, but by the number of jobs contracted, which, I am sure, will be numerous – Nikic emphasized.
