CCIS becomes national contact institution of Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs
As stated on the website of the CCIS, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border entrepreneur exchange program which aims to support new and potential entrepreneurs to acquire adequate skills of managing and expanding small companies through working with an experienced entrepreneur in a European state for a period of one to six months. This way, cross-border transfer of knowledge and experience among entrepreneurs is stimulated.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs was started by the European Commission in 2009 at the initiative of the European Parliament, and the entrepreneurs who have taken part in the program in EU states point out that their companies are more resilient and that they are realizing a larger growth and employing more people.
Close to 87% of the startups founded by participants in the program are still active, whereas the average survival rate of startups in Europe after three years of operations is 57%, the CCIS adds.
Furthermore, thanks to their cooperation with European business people, they are also more active in foreign markets.
