Year 2017 best for Sloboda Cacak in past three decades – Jobs contracted for 2019 as well
According to him, this year will be successful as well, as contracts securing full engagement have already been signed.
– The number of our clients expands each year. There may not be many new ones, but the old ones have signed new contracts and I hope that the upcoming year will be as successful as this one. We have already signed contracts securing full engagement in 2018, as well as contracts securing production at 70% capacity in 2019 – Stefanovic said.
Certain premises and halls demolished during the NATO bombing have been reconstructed, but the management always gives priority to the purchase of new equipment which secures automated production, larger capacities and increased safety of workers, of whom there are currently over 2,400.
New employments will depend on how full the capacities are.
– The number of workers depends on the number of contracted jobs. There may even be a reduction in the number of workers, depending on the production plan. It's an ongoing process, and we constantly invest in new technologies, expand our production program and create new processes wherever a process is automatized and the need for workers reduced. I hope that we will keep the current number of workers – Stefanovic says optimistically.
Sloboda received grants of EUR 2 million from the Government of Serbia last year for the purpose of enhancing its production, and the salary exceeds RSD 50,000. Stefanovic therefore doesn't expect any problems with trade unions or a potential strike, announced for after Christmas.
