Constantine the Great Airport breaks records in 2017 – 331 thousand passengers and 2,543 tons of goods in 12 months
– Our airport serviced 331,582 passengers, which is 2.65 more compared to the results realized in 2016, when we had 124,917 passengers – says the press release by the airport.
The Constantine the Great Airport was the first airport in Europe in June 2017 looking by the growth of the number of passengers within a single month, in Group 4, according to the statistics of ACI Europe, that is, in the group of airports with up to 5 million passengers a year.
July 2017 saw the largest number of passengers served in a single month since the foundation of the airport in 1986, when there were more than 32,000 passengers.
The all-time record was also set in cargo transport, with 2,543 tons from 85 aircraft handled.
The total number of planes handled in 2017 amounts to 1,477, the largest number since the airport was established.
