Lego presents “Women of NASA” set
The 231-piece set will include the mini figures of Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman in space, as well as astronomer Nancy Grace Roman and computer scientist Margaret Hamilton.
The set also comes with Lego versions of the Space Shuttle Challenger and the Hubble Space Telescope. It also contains a miniature model of Margaret Hamilton’s workspace at the MIT at the time she was programming the Moon landing software.
The new Lego set was proposed by Maia Weinstock, deputy editor of MIT News.
The set will be available for sale in the USA from November 1 and will cost USD 24.99.
