Nordic companies seeking partners in Vojvodina

The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, Bosko Vucurevic, talked to Ambassador of Finland to Serbia Pertti Ikonen and members of the Nordic Business Alliance about enhancing the economic cooperation between Serbian and Finnish companies operating in the autonomous province this Thursday, September 28, 2017.

The Finnish ambassador emphasized that it was Vojvodina were Nordic companies were looking to find partners and added that Nordic countries and companies often made joint ventures in the market, as economic potentials are much bigger that way.

Vucurevic said that Finland imported a great range of products from Vojvodina, primarily agricultural products, and cited the fact that, in the first seven months of 2017, there had been imports from Finland worth USD 6.3 million, making up 35.2% of the last year’s imports.

– In the same period, exports worth USD 3.2 million were realized, exceeding the value of last year’s exports to Finland – Vucurevic said, as cited in the press release by the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.

The gathering was attended by more than 50 members of the Nordic Business Alliance and the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, who had bilateral meetings at the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.

The Nordic Business Alliance in Serbia was founded by Nordic businessmen six years ago, and now it brings together 50 companies from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland and cooperates with all Nordic embassies.
