Over 500 personal items which used to belong to actress Audrey Hepburn, among which is the working script for Breakfast at Tiffany’s, were sold at an auction for more than USD 6 million.

Her personal copy of the script was sold at the auction at Christie’s for USD 846,000, seven times its estimated value.

A Tiffany bangle, a gift from the director Steven Spielberg, inscribed with the message: “You are my ‘inspiration’.” was sold for USD 332,000.

The black satin gown worn in Charade (1963) was sold for USD 68,000, whereas a trenchcoat of hers sold for over USD 60,000.

The family of Audrey Hepburn decided to sell the gowns, movies scripts and other personal items found in her house in Switzerland at an auction.

Numerous items were offered, among them the black suitcase she brought to London in 1948, when she applied for ballet scholarship, before she became one of the most famous actresses in the world.
