As the Port Governance Agency announced for eKapija earlier, the opening of the passenger terminal in Smederevo is expected to take place by the end of 2017.
Let us remind that this is one of the seven passenger terminals the construction of which was initiated by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications in 2015 and 2016. In addition to Smederevo, passenger terminals have been built in Kostolac, Veliko Gradiste, Kladovo and Golubac, whereas the remaining two, those in Beocin and Sremski Karlovci, are to be built in 2018.
So far, the terminals open for international transport in Serbia are those in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Donji Milanovac. In 2016, 952 passenger boats docked at these terminals, carrying around 118,600 passengers.
