Electricity prices to go up in October – Energy Agency approves raise by 2%
As AERS says, the Agency Council approved the Decision on regulated price of electric energy for guaranteed supply, reached by the acting director of PE Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS).
Based on this decision, the prices of electricity for households and small clients will be raised by an average of 2% on October 1, 2017.
Following the analysis carried out with the World Bank expert team, in line with the fiscal consolidation plan, EPS filed a request to AERS to have the electricity prices increased by 2%, the Ministry of Energy reported.
This is a harmonization of the price with inflation trends, as a consequence of the total financial stabilization in Serbia, as well as the good financial results of EPS, which have been rated positively and approved by international financial institutions.
This is the lowest electricity price increase in Serbia yet. For an average consumer, the monthly bill will increase by RSD 68.
