Public-private partnership for heating improvement in Pirot - GGE installs biomass-driven boilers in 4 schools
The project is implemented through a public-private partnership, and GGE Esco previously selected on the tender is a partner to a local government.
Existing oil boilers will be replaced by boilers on a wood chip.
- It is the first public-private partnership for energy supply in Serbia, and an excellent example of successful cooperation between private and public partners in this project. The installation is now in progress - GGE Esco says for eKapija.
The PPP contract was signed this spring. The project totals app. EUR 700,000 and as it was announced during contract signing, heating price will provide savings of about 30%.
GGE deals with energy efficiency projects across the region, in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro and the Czech Republic. GGE cooperates with more than 60 towns and municipalities, leading industry companies, small and medium-enterprises in the region, and has more than 70 successful public sector projects, as well as in industry and commercial sector. According to ESCO model, besides providing funding, GGE develops energy efficient solutions for each project, applies them, deals with maintenance and guarantees savings, the company stated.
