Twice quicker system upgrades, extended battery life, and ease of use - Google promised to users of their operating system to launch a new version of Android, called Oreo.

It sounds pretty good and promising, and whether Google will actually bring it to Android smartphones, the owners of Pixel phone, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will be the first ones to check it while others will have to wait for the end of the year when Oreo is available on other devices.

Among innovations of operating system named after famous sweets, the most interesting are notification dots - dots that at any time show whether you have any new notification on a particular application, and with longer pressure you can see their captive - like Picture-in- Picture or use of two applications at the same time, but with the ability to use the camera, or video call or Skype while watching or browsing at the same time.

New Android gives you the option, as optional, that a phone remembers user names and passwords for websites you use most often so that you do not have to log in on a regular basis. There are 60 new emoticons, a new look of settings menu, support for adaptive application icons, LDAC audio enhancement for Bluetooth, etc.

Additionally, applications will have the option of grouping notifications in different channels, so you can ban to receive notifications on who liked your picture on Instagram, but not if someone sends you a request to follow you.

A lot is expected from the statement tahat Android Oreo will save battery. The plan is to reduce "background activity" more efficiently, that is, applications that are not used do not work automatically and thus consume energy, and users will get an overview of how much applications are using the batteries and how often they are used.

Also, the team of people working on Android made great efforts to improve and speed up system boot up. It was measured on Pixel phone how Oreo works and double acceleration was recorded.
