Construction of bio power plant in Krusevac to begin in September – Value of investment EUR 28 million
The power plant will use wood biomass as the primary source of energy and will be directly connected to the power grid of Elektrodistribucija and the remote heating network. The bio power plant will produce 4.8 MW of electricity and 28 MW of heating energy per hour.
Building Energy 1 Krusevac is the result of cooperation between the Milan-based Building Energy and Synergy Invest from Krusevac, as the local partner in the project of producing energy from renewable sources.
Immediately following the signing of an agreement with the PE Srbijasume in October 2016, which was preceded by the signing of an agreement with the PUE Krusevac, Toplana, Elektrodistribucija and Vodovod, the documentation started being prepared intensively.
In addition to new sources and a 24-hour energy supply, Building Energy will directly secure 40 to 50 new jobs and a much greater number indirectly.
The investment is worth a total of EUR 28 million, 80% of which are the Italian investor's funds, whereas 20% comes from Synergy Invest.
The facility is located in the industrial zone by the Jasicki Put Street, taking up 60,000 square meters, as well as additional area for the storing of energy sources, RTK reports.
