"Alas Rakovac" is building a lake and sport fields in ex stone-pit "Srebro"
"Alas Rakovac" company is planning to organize the area of the ex stone-pit "Srebro", in the next 5 years, and to ajust it to the environment of the National park, Fruska gora, with a lake and beach for 1.000 swimmers, with sanitary infrastructure, and sports fields, it was announced by the company.
The surface will be recultivated, by making cascade areas, and by afforestation of about 30.000 seedlings, while green areas will be modeled into parks, refreshed with special kinds of trees, and with natural habitation for local birds and other animal species.
Residents and visitors of Fruska gora will get sport-recreational center for water sports, tennis, volleyball, handball, basketball and small football, as well as for mountain-climbing trainings and mountain byke rides.
The lake will be completely safe for swimming, after cultivation, as the bottom will be cleaned and water residue will be installed which would able recleaning of water for 500 to 1.000 future swimmers.
