Belgrade will get a new Nikola Tesla museum, and the Government of Serbia announces that the investor for the project will be known by the end of 2017.

The museum will contain accompanying features as well – a center for promotion of science, talented young people, IT and genetic engineering.

This May, the Government of Serbia founded a coordination authority for monitoring the construction of the new Nikola Tesla museum and the accompanying features, the head of which is Minister of Construction Zorana Mihajlovic.

The Ministry of Construction says for eKapija that the next session of the coordination authority is scheduled for August 3, 2017.

– All the necessary documentation is currently being reviewed and everything important is being summed up, so that the decision on how to carry out the project in the most efficient manner would be reached at the next session of the coordination authority. The aim is for the project to run smoothly and be realized in as short amount of time as possible – the Ministry of Construction explained.

At the previous session, Mihajlovic talked to the members of the authority about the details of the project and all the questions regarding the procedures, the necessary documentation and the dynamics of the realization.

Mihajlovic pointed out the importance of the construction of the Nikola Tesla museum for Serbia at the session and emphasized that the task of the coordination authority was to support and monitor the project in detail so that the realization would be as efficient as possible.

– Our first goal is to choose the investor by the end of the year – she said and added that the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure would provide all the professional support needed for the realization of the project.

Aside from Mihajlovic, the coordination authority features Minister of Culture and Information Vladan Vukosavljevic, as deputy president, whereas other members are Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic, Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Branislav Nedimovic, City Manager Goran Vesic, City Architect Milutin Folic, head of the Property Office of the Republic of Serbia, Jovan Vorkapic, acting director of the Republic Geodetic Authority, Borko Draskovic, state secretaries and deputy ministers.
