Belgrade Airport gets Tesla-inspired mural
The mural, which was officially revealed by Rasa Ristivojevic, Executive Director of the Nikola Tesla Airport, is located in the international arrivals hall of Terminal 2.
– In the year in which the Nikola Tesla Airport is celebrating its 55th anniversary and making record results in all fields, the mural inspired be Nikola Tesla is an investment and an incentive for talented people to create lasting values. At the same time, this fantastic design is also meant for all the passengers and visitors at the Nikola Tesla Airport's Terminal 2 – Ristivojevic stated.
The triangulation by Nina Radosavljevic, featuring more than 16,000 geometric elements coming together to assemble a Nikola Tesla figure, was made by artist Miodrag Stanisic with his team.
– I am honored that my design won the contest. It was challenging, inspirational, but also very demanding to make something that carries the name of Nikola Tesla and something that might be viewed by millions of people. The opportunity given to young people through such contests is very important. This is an incentive for us to create and be even better – says Radosavljavic.
The contest for the conceptual design and the painting of the mural lasted for a month, and 55 works were sent.
